Introducing PORTAL: Uniting Global Communities Through Virtual Connectivity

Portals.org, a virtual reality platform created by Benediktas Gylys, is designed to let people on different continents meet face to face in real time, without either side having to travel.

Beyond one-off conversations, the platform is built to support cultural exchange, collaborative projects, knowledge sharing and cross-border business connections between participants from different backgrounds.

Its stated aim is to lower the barriers that normally keep people from different cultures apart, giving students, artists and professionals a more direct way to build understanding and reduce the kind of stereotypes that distance tends to reinforce.
